Training for cemetery staff who operation Group A MEWPs (Mobile Elevated Work Platforms) as part of their work duties, is available. The training program provided by Consolidated Risk Management, Inc. is interactive and includes lecture, practical evaluations, and topic testing.

The American National Standards Institute (ANSI) creates standards that govern the design and use of aerial work platforms. New standards were put into place that were effective December 2019. These guidelines, which are required by OSHA, identify the design, safe use, and training requirements, for MEWPs.

Everyone must be trained to the new standards, regardless of prior training

All training must be delivered by a qualified person and must be offered in a language and format the trainee can understand.

Who is required to be trained?
